Introducing your next favourite band…Guineafowl
Sydneysiders Guineafowl have been making a name for themselves on the local circuit for a little while now. Their brand of delightful indie is infectious, and I am currently in love with the single Botanist.
What began as a solo project for Sam Yeldham has now expanded to a six-piece live band with Sam aka Guineafowl on lead vocals and guitar, Matt Field on drums, Imi Harper on vocals and keyboards, Douglas S. Thompson on backing vocals and guitar, Lachlan McQueen on bass, and Yarren Hominh on guitar and assorted sounds.
Head over to the Civil Society site and pick up a free mp3 of their track Botanist here.

Catch the band this Friday 16 July at the last night of their July residency at Oxford Art Factory.
Guineafowl have also scored some pretty sweet supporting slots on a couple of upcoming Splendour in the Grass sideshows. They will be supporting The Magic Numbers at the Metro on July 30, and then go on to support Fanfarlo at the Gaelic Club on August 2.
